Get some financial breathing room and additional flexibility when you need it with this special offer. Just let us know which loan payment you would like to skip. Once you are approved, simply skip one month's payment and keep the cash instead!
NOTE: Skip-A-Payment does not apply to credit cards or some home loans. Loans must be up to date. Normal interest charges will continue to accrue, and your skipped payment will be added to the end of your loan term.

Insurance Protection Plans
Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP)
Due to market conditions, the actual cash value of your collateral may decrease faster than your balance. Available on most of our consumer loans, GAP provides added protection for you in the case of theft or a loss of your collateral during the finance period when your loan balance exceeds the insurance settlement amount. As an additional bonus, if you have a qualifying GAP claim and finance a replacement vehicle within 90 days from the date of loss with Spirit of Alaska, you may be eligible to receive a $1000 credit towards your new loan
Credit Life and Disability Insurance
Get added protection and security against unexpected events that could impair your ability to make timely payments.
Insurance products sold through or in the credit union are not insured by the National Credit Union Administration and are not issued, guaranteed, or underwritten by the credit union or the National Credit Union Administration or any other federal government agency; and
That there is no requirement or obligation to purchase insurance from the credit union or any subsidiary, affiliate, or particular unaffiliated third party as a condition to obtaining a loan, and a decision as to insurance agents will not affect the credit terms in any way. The credit union may not condition an extension of credit on an agreement not to obtain, or a prohibition on the applicant from obtaining an insurance product or annuity from an unaffiliated entity.

Deductibles for comprehensive and collision should not exceed $500. We do not accept insurance cards as proof of insurance.

Share Secured Loan
Looking for an inexpensive way to establish credit or rebuild your damaged credit? Do you have the funds for that long desired purchase but dread seeing your savings account dwindle? A Share Secured loan may be the solution for you. Spirit of Alaska can make your hard earned money work for you!
Overview
Share secured loans are simply funds pledged from a savings account to "secure" a loan. The credit union keeps the funds in the savings account on hold, then lends out that same amount to you. As the loan balance decreases with payments made, the "hold" adjusts with the loan balance, so that the credit union only holds what is owed on the loan. We also continue to pay you interest on the savings account while it is on hold.
Rate
The loan rate is 3% above the dividend rate on the share. The rate is variable, because savings account dividend rates often change. For example, if the savings account rate goes down, the rate on the share secured loan goes down too, but always remains only 3% above the savings account rate. Besides the rate, loan terms are fairly flexible.
Certificate of Deposit (CD) Secured Loans
Overview
A loan can also be secured against a CD. The concept is similar to a Share Secured loan, but the length of the loan is determined by the maturity date of the CD.
Rate
The loan rate is 3% above the CD rate and is not variable because the CD rate is fixed; therefore the loan rate is fixed.
