Youth Safety Day
It's time for the 2011 Youth Safety Day!
Date : August 20th, 2011
Time : 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
Fun, food and prizes are to be found at our Annual Youth Safety Day event at the Regal Cinema Theatre!
- Kids will learn important safety tips and practices from the local Volunteer Police Department, Fire Departments, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
- Kids can check out fire engines, the Fire Safety House, the Earthquake Cabin and a Fire Safety Slide!
- Visit each exciting station and fill out your Passport to Safety, and turn it in to win great prizes!
- Weave your way through the cones in our Bike Rodeo! Helmets are provided to those kids that need one, and free bike checkups are provided by Goldstream Sports every year.
- Parents have the opportunity to have their kids learn about a youth savings account at Spirit of Alaska FCU, and discover PiggyBanc , a free savings account management website for kids!
- Kids can also check the Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts, and sign up to be a part of a troop!
Prize drawings will be held every 15 minutes, with 2 Grand prizes of a Mountain bike and a cell phone with service given away.
