Recent Events:
March 17, 2012: Prestige members enjoyed the beauty of Ice Alaska with a special Prestige event during our Spirit of Alaska FCU sponsor Day. They toured the new George Horner Ice Park and learned about the history and future of Ice Alaska.
February 4, 2012: Prestige members had the opportunity to join the excitement of Yukon Quest and received a 10% discount from Yukon Quest Store purchases during the 1000 mile race. They watched the race and could view mushers preparing their teams at the dog yard set up in the Fairbanks North Star Borough parking lot. Later that day they were able to watch the start of the Yukon 300. The coupon for the Yukon Quest gift store was distributed through the February 2012 issue of the Prestige Pioneer Post.
January 26, 2012: Over 75 Prestige members turned out to learn more about Social Security Benefits, Medicare and Supplemental Insurance during an informal discussion panel at the Noel Wien Public Library. The panel included Judith Bendersky, MPH, of the State of Alaska Health and social Service Medicare Program, via video conference, Kathy Weber-Baker, Agent for Baker and Baker Associates, and Nevada Walton. Kathy Baker provided information on Long-term and Medi-gap insurance and Nevada, presented information about the Social Security website and showed a video provided by Wallace Herndon, District Manager of the Social Security office. Prestige members are welcome to contact the Social Security office directly for specific questions concerning their Social Security or Medicare benefits. 907-456-5390.
Through out the year Prestige membership has grown to over 425 active members. All Spirit of Alaska Federal Credit Union members 55 and older are eligible to join Prestige program. It is simple, just complete and submit the form below, call or drop into your favorite branch and say you want to join. It's easy and it's free!
